What is recorded here
Moss and thorns strangle the Ballykenny fort, hiding a thirty-metre circle of packed earth and a shallow ditch. Humans built the ring, but the fairies took it back, which is why the green grows so fast and the boundary resists measurement. The land remembers both claims.
In level pasture. Site is almost entirely covered by dense overgrowth but as far as could be ascertained consists of circular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earthen bank with external fosse (Wth c. 4m; D c. 1m).
