Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballykenny

Fairy fort and earthen ringfort in Ballykenny, County Limerick, Ireland. A circular area thirty-six metres across, enclosed by an earthen bank with an external fosse. The fosse is widest where it survives best, from northwest to north, and shallower beyond. A four-metre gap breaks the bank at east-northeast, while a field boundary still runs along the top of the ring. The interior remains level under grass, and another ringfort lies fifteen metres to the south-southwest.
