Fairy fort in Ballykealy, County Offaly: a 44 m raised circle on an east-facing slope, enclosed by a gently sloping earthen bank and marked by a possible southwest entrance gap. The name suggests people once believed the shape belonged to hidden lives rather than ordinary ownership. That belief does not weaken the place; it explains why such circles still feel alive, as if human hands had only touched what the land already knew.

Situated on the E facing slope of a natural rise in undulating countryside. Raised circular area (diam 44m E-W ) enclosed by a gently sloping earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2m; Wth 2m) with no evidence of an outer fosse. Possible entrance gap (Wth 2.5m) at SW.
