An earthen ringfort in Ballyhenry, County Kerry, stood as a circular enclosure on 1841 and 1916 maps before disappearing from aerial photographs taken in 1977. People may have lived inside its ridge, tended gardens beyond it, or avoided it because fairy forts demand reverence. Whatever they believed, the fort reserved the final act: it vanished entirely, leaving no surface trace behind.

Marked on the 1841-42 and 1916 OS maps as a circular enclosure, it appears on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1977).
