Fairy fort in Ballyhemikin, County Kerry: a circular earthen enclosure marked on 1841-42 and 1916 maps, vanished from the surface but still visible in 1974 aerial photographs. People may have lived, buried markers or simply avoided the ring, while others called it a fairy fort because the land kept its shape when human tools stopped touching it.

This circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 and 1916 OS maps. Though no surface trace remains today, it can be seen on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1974).
