Fairy fort in Ballygowney, County Kilkenny: a 30-metre earthen ring on a west-facing valley slope, above the boggy floor, in rough pasture, with views in every direction. The bank stands two metres wide at the west edge, one metre high outside and thirty centimetres inside; at the east it has flattened into a slight terrace. A modern field boundary cuts northeast-southwest through the middle, dividing what may have been a small dwelling place, a boundary marker, or a child-world stronghold where the ordinary and unseen still share the same ground.

On the W-facing slope of a valley, just above the boggy valley floor, in rough pasture. There are good views in all directions. A roughly circular area (diam. 30m) defined by an earthen bank, best preserved at W (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1m), only visible as slight terrace at E (ext. H 0.3m).
