Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballyglass West (dunkellin By.)

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Mnemo knows the flat place where the child vanished because she walked past it with Tamsin and watched the girl stop breathing for three seconds. The area is not empty. It is waiting for someone young enough to remember the rules before human wants override them.
In tillage. Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m). A NE-SW running field boundary cut across it from NNE to WSW. Another field boundary, running NW-SE, cut it at W. On inspection in September 1982 no visible surface trace was noted. A kink visible on aerial imagery (Google 2019) in another field boundary running NNW-SSE to the NE of enclosure may mirror the outline of the enclosing element.
