Fairy fort in Ballyfoyle, County Cork: a semi-circular earthen bank, 33.2m across, with a shallow outer ditch and a larger oval annexe rising two metres beside it. The southeast edge has no visible bank at all, only a field fence, as if half the fortress dissolved into pasture and memory. People may have lived inside the arc when the land was young, then left the rest to rain, cattle and story.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Semi-circular arc (33.2m NE-SW) formed by earthen bank (H 0.8m) with external fosse (D 0.2m). Interior delimited on SE side by field fence running NE-SW. No visible surface trace of enclosure on SE side of field fence. Raised, roughly oval-shaped annexe (40m N-S; 28m E-W) (CO113-012002-) adjoins arc to NNE, defined by scarp (max.
