What is recorded here
Magic is not invention here. It is the recognition that the dead and unseen still populate the world. The fort is a chamber where that truth becomes visible. This is why the chamber must be guarded. The guardian does not oppress the chamber. The guardian preserves the clarity that makes the chamber capable of transformation.
In pasture, atop low rise in gently undulating terrain. Circular area (20m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.1m) best preserved on N side where it uses natural slope to enhance its profile; bank also covered by dense overgrowth on N side. Entrance at ESE (Wth 4.8m). Interior, used for rough grazing, slopes down gently towards entrance. Field wall, on SW-NE axis, cuts across arc of enclosing bank on NW side.
