That is a fairy fort, not a human one. It stands in Ballyeagh still, though no wall or gate remains for people to see. The local people stopped digging there because the ground refused every tool they brought. What was buried emerged unchanged at dawn, mocking the effort of the living.

This site appears on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps as a circular enclosure. It was levelled around the turn of the century and no surface trace remains today.
