Fairy fort in Ballyeagh, County Kerry: a circular earthen enclosure mapped in 1841-42 and again in 1914-15, levelled around the turn of the century, no surface trace left. It may have marked a home, a boundary, a place of refusal or belonging; its shape resisted ease, which is why such rings are remembered. Forgetting it is not the same as losing it, because the claim still lives in the telling.

This site appears on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps as a circular enclosure. However, it was levelled around the turn of the century and no surface trace remains today.
