Fairy forts are often small and hidden. This one is a circular raised area twenty to twenty-two metres wide atop a hillock in Ballydineen. Its low earthen bank still stands, though farming has probably removed the larger field boundary around it. The interior rises on the north side to compensate for the hillslope, suggesting people shaped the ground deliberately rather than leaving it to chance. It may have been a dwelling, a boundary marker or a place of ritual, but the earth no longer speaks clearly. What remains is a gentle swelling in the tillage, large enough to see and old enough to belong before memory.

In tillage, atop hillock. Circular raised area (20m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by low earthen bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.5m). Interior appears to be raised on N side to compensate for hillslope.
