Fairy fort in Ballycummin, County Limerick: an earthen ringfort hidden beneath low pasture and scrub south of a conifer plantation. It is not visible at ground level, though the land may still hold its shape under grass and roots. People may have lived there before the trees came, then forgot the wall but kept the name.
Situated in an area of low-lying pasture and scrub immediately S of a conifer plantation on a gentle downwards SE slope. The monument is not visible at ground level.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
