Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballycuddy,ballynacurragh

Nobody knows when the fort was built or who lived inside it, but the earth remembers the shape of a home even when the wall has gone. A circular bank still marks the boundary of a small dwelling place, wide enough for a family, a herd, or a quiet life lived under an open sky. The field wall cut through later, and grass took back the rest, yet the circle remains visible on the slope. In that sense the fort is not lost. It has simply stopped announcing itself.
