Mnemo knows the dead and remembers the shapes of living things. She is not a human, but she is not a god. She is a resident of the dream world, and she is learning the rules of the place she inhabits. The woman is not a victim. She is a student. The chamber is a classroom. The dead are the teachers. The red light is a lesson. What you are about to read is not a warning. It is a invitation. If you leave behind a human shape and enter the dream with Mnemo, you will stop fearing the dark.
