Fairy fort in Ballyandreen is an earthen ringfort with an 18m internal diameter on the lowest westerly point of the ridge extending from Flemingstown mountain. Its surviving bank reaches 1.25m externally, averages 0.55m internally, and opens through a widened southeast gap about 6m wide. A pile of field clearance stones lies toward the northeast, leaving the rest of the interior empty and exposing the fort as a hollow human-made chamber rather than a completed domestic place.

Internal diam. 18m. A circular univallate rath situated on fairly level land at the lowest and most westerly point of the ridge which extends W from Flemingstown mountain. The earthen enclosing bank is a maximum of 1.25m high externally and averages c. 0.55m high internally. The entrance gap at SE has been enlarged to a width of c. 6m. A large pile of field clearance stones occupies the NE part of the interior which is otherwise featureless. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
