That is the name, and the name is a trap. It suggests a small house for a tiny creature, but a thirty-metre circle is a human dwelling, large enough for a family, a herd and a winter. The fairies took it later, as they take every abandoned human place, and grew the story until the humans disappeared from it. The field has swallowed the bank. What remains is a boundary the land forgot, waiting for someone strong enough to remember it back into shape.

In level pasture. Monument, depicted as roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1924 OS 6-inch map, is now completely covered by dense overgrowth.
