Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballinlig (tireragh By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballinlig (tireragh By.), County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a rise in coastal pasture and presents an oval platform thirty-seven by twenty-nine metres. A substantial earth and stone bank encloses the space above a steep-sided mound, while a surrounding ditch and outer bank reinforce the perimeter. A stone-lined break in the inner bank marks the original entrance at the south-south-east.
Situated on a rise in undulating coastal pasture. Oval platform (dims. 37m NNW-SSE; 29m ENE-WSW), enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth. 7.5m; 0.75m), atop a steep-sided mound of earth and stone (H 2.45m). There are traces of a internal stone kerb at SE. In the SE quadrant the upper edge of the bank is revetted with boulders. At the foot of the mound at SW and SE is a fosse (Wth. 3m) with an outer bank (Wth. 4.6m; H 0.7m). Stone-line break in inner bank at SSE (Wth. 1.45m) with accompanying ramp marks original entrance.
