What is recorded here

Fairy forts are not fantasy. They are human places from before written record, built and forgotten, then misremembered. This is one of them: a small earth-work in a Kerry field, recorded once and lost again. The fairies are only the shape taken by what people could not explain.

Situated in a large pastoral field, this circular enclosure is marked on the 1842 OS map, but it does not appear on the later edition and no visible trace remains.
