Fairy fort in Ballinaclogh is a circular earthwork on a south-east facing slope, twenty-two metres across, with a low bank and a stone wall on one side. It is the kind of place people once called a rath, a fortified home or boundary marker, before forests closed over it and pasture replaced the fields inside. The name fairy fort suggests humans left it alone, believing it belonged elsewhere.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Circular area (22.2m NE-SW; 19.8m NW-SE) enclosed by low, eroded earthen bank (H 1.2m) N->E and S->W. Stone wall atop line of bank W->N, berm protruding under wall on inside may be remains of original bank. Interior overgrown with deciduous trees.
