Fairy fort in Baile An Chótaigh, County Kerry: a 25 m circular depression where the northern half has vanished and the eastern edge still curves inside a field fence. The name suggests people once placed the fort outside human rule, yet the shape and boundary mark a lived-in claim to land. What is missing may have been taken for fields, forgotten in storm or simply stopped being defended.

This site was marked on the 1st edition of the OS map as a circular enclosure but the depiction on the 2nd edition indicates that the N half had been destroyed and that the S half survived only as a raised platform. The present remains consist of a depression, 25m in diameter, and the outline of the enclosure is preserved for a short distance at E by a curving field boundary fence.
