Half a metre of earth and small stones still marks the ring where people lived on the east slopes above Dingle. The shallow hollow at the north-east edge may have held a hut, and a low ridge stretching west may cover the passage told in local memory. Rain has worn the fort thin, but it still fits the valley like a hand pressed into clay.

Internal diam. 19.5m N-S, 23.9m E-W. A univallate rath situated on the E slopes of the valley that extends NE from Dingle town. The enclosing bank is composed of earth and small stones and is very eroded. It is a maximum of 1m high externally, .5m high internally and at present is 5m wide at base. An irregular hollow, abutting the bank at NNE, may be the remains of a hut-site KE043-227001-. It is c. 3.5m in diameter and its floor lies .56m below the general level of the interior. It is enclosed by a low bank, .2m high. A low ridge, extending c. 9m to WSW from this hollow, may indicate the position of the Man-made underground passage KE043-227002- which was located in this part of the site (local information).
