Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Aughnagomaun, Ballytarsna (Hackett) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Aughnagomaun, Ballytarsna (Hackett), County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a slightly raised circular area 30 metres north to south and 29 metres east to west, enclosed by an earth and stone bank that stands 1.5 metres high on the outside. An outer ditch runs beside the bank, but a field boundary and quarry hole have damaged the northwest section. Livestock grazing has further reduced the visibility of the enclosing bank.
In grassland on a SE-facing slope of low rising ground with moated site (TS053-007----) 150m to N and tower house (TS053-006----) 550m to NNE and church (TS053-009----) 500m to E. Slightly raised circular area (int. diam. 30m N-S; 29m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (base Wth 2.7m; top wth 1.2m; ext. H 1.5m; int. H 0.2m) mainly reduced to a scarp and outer fosse (base Wth 2-3m; top wth 6m; ext. D 0.8m) with causewayed entrance (Wth 4.5m) at E. Field boundary running on a NE-SW axis intersects fosse at NW with quarry hole immediately to SSE of bank destroying the outer fosse along this quadrant. Enclosing bank and external face of bank is poorly preserved due to the overgrazing of livestock on this monument.
