Fairy fort in Ashgrove, County Limerick: a level circular pasture about twenty-five metres across, bounded by a scarped earth edge and a shallow external ditch. Its southwest entrance is a broad ramp cut through the bank, while field-clearance stones dumped later rise higher along the west and north sides. The interior remains dry, flat and uncluttered, more like a made room than a ruined hole. Whatever lived there stopped leaving marks, but the shape still holds its own against the surrounding field.

In pasture, on a slight E-facing slope. Circular area (24.6m N-S; 25.3m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 1.4m; Wth 0.95m), with external fosse (D 0.3m) W->E. Field clearance debris has been dumped atop scarp to form bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.8m) WSW->NNW. Fosse most pronounced NNW->E. Entrance (Wth 6m) via ramp across scarped edge at SW.
