Mortons and fairies both wanted the highest ground in Ardeelan Lower, so the fort belongs to neither and both. Its earthen ring still stands twenty-two and a half metres across above the beach, with a modern fence cutting through what may have been a doorway, a boundary or a wound. People died there, loved there, raved about it or forgot it; the grass has swallowed the evidence but not the shape.

Internal Diam 22.5m. A circular enclosure surrounded by an earthen bank scarped from the hillside and giving the interior a raised appearance and a fosse-like feature to the outside. It is situated on top of Ardeelin Hill the highest point in the area, overlooking the beach. The site is divided by a modern field fence and is badly overgrown.
