What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Annalittin, County Monaghan, is an earthen ringfort on the highest point of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. Its oval grass-covered area measures 44m NNW-SSE and 34.5m ENE-WSW, bounded by a reduced earthen bank, hedge and field stones. A modern entrance opens at the north, while the original entrance has not been identified. The place still suggests a small defended or cherished home, with people moving through one gap and living beneath the ridge sky.
