What is recorded here

That is a fairy fort, a circular earthen ringfort in Annakisha South, County Cork, Ireland. It measured about twenty-five metres east-west and projected fifteen metres north on the 1842 Ordnance Survey map. Ploughing and cropping have since levelled the visible bank, yet aerial photography still reveals the faint shadow of its external fosse. The earth has not forgotten the shape; it merely stopped announcing it to every passing foot.
