An Gorta Dubha in County Kerry claims a forgotten ringfort, yet no living person remembers seeing its walls. The earth still holds a shallow circle twenty-seven metres wide, split by a field fence and hiding a small mound that may be nothing but discarded stone. Local people call it a fairy fort, pushing human history aside to feed the imagination.

This site was not noted on the OS maps but is known locally as a lios. It has not been extant within living memory. The site is marked by a raised area, about 27m in diameter and .3 to .4m high, now divided by a N-S field fence. A small mound near its E edge may simply be field clearance debris.
