Half a circle of earth still holds its shape at the head of a small Kerry valley, while the rest has surrendered to field walls and forgetting. The surviving bank rises a metre and a half on the east side, guarding a ruined inner chamber no larger than a generous hall. What was lost may have been taken by ploughs, rain or time, but the remaining curve still points toward Ballynasare like a sentence broken mid-breath.

Internal diam. 22m This univallate rath is located at the head of a small valley, on a SE facing slope which overlooks Ballynasare. It is shown on the 1st edition of the OS map as a circular enclosure, but the NW half of its outline is no longer discernible. It occupies the NW corner of a field and its N and W sides are now bounded by straight field walls. Its S side is defined by a step up to the interior of 1.1m, and the earthen enclosing bank is preserved only along the E side where it is 1.5m high externally, .8m high internally and c. 2m wide. The SE facing entrance is 3.5m wide. The centre of the enclosure is occupied by the remains of a circular structure, 9m in diameter. Its ruined wall is c. 1 to 1.5m wide and less than .5m high.
