Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Acres (corkaguiny By.)

Internal diam. 16m. Situated on the lower N slopes of Knocknanacree, overlooking the narrow valley that extends W from Anascaul, this site consists of a circular area enclosed by a low bank, up to .8m high externally but only very slightly raised above the interior. An ill-defined central area is slightly raised above the remainder of the interior, possibly marking the location of a house platform, but there is also a possibility that this site should be interpreted as a ring-barrow and not a ringfort.
