Faill na Téide

Faill na Téide is a sea cliff in County Kerry, composed primarily of basalt formed during the Palaeogene period, around 60 to 55 million years ago, as a result of volcanic activity associated with the opening of the North Atlantic. It is notable for its association with the broader basaltic landscape of southwest Ireland, shaped by ancient lava flows and subsequent coastal erosion.
