This black commemorative plaque records: In Memory of all who lost their lives at the Winter Hill Air Disaster 27th February 1958. And grateful thanks to the people of Horwich and Bolton for their magnificent support. Erected by his Worship the Mayor of Douglas Isle of Man. F. Kennish (survivor) and the survivors, families and friends of all who died "somewhere round the corner all is well"
F. Kennish was a survivor of the Winter Hill Air Disaster in 1958; he is remembered alongside other survivors for their role in commemorating this tragic event and honoring those who lost their lives.
