Excavated (E3478) during 2005 by L. Mckinstry as part of Site 13 at Moneylawn Lower, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Two kilns (WX011-060005-) were located outside the outer fosse of conecntric enclosure (WX011-060001-) at SW. About 6m to the N of the kilns was a concentrated group of five small pits (diam. c. 0.35-1m; max. D 0.3m) that contained soils with prehistoric pottery, burnt hazelnuts and a black flint scraper. Other pits scattered around the excavated area had similar fills and some prehistoric pottery. (Mckinstry 2008, 406; 2008a, 10-11)
