What is recorded here

Excavated (E3474) during 2005 by J. Lehane as Site 9 at Moneycross Upper, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Situated on a gentle SE-facing slope with a NW-SE stream c. 180m to the NE. An ancient E-W water dhannel (Wth 2-4.5m; max. D 0.3m) and pond were in the area. Four shallow pits (dims c. 1m-3m; D c. 0.3m) had fills that included silts and burnt mound material, but no artefacts were recorded.
