An unknown pit or cooking monument in Limerick pasture was excavated in 1986 during the Bruff-Mallow gas pipeline works, then erased from the visible field. It lay seventy metres east of the Ballynagoul boundary, with a ringfort waiting further east like a forgotten neighbour. The pipeline cut through pasture, soil and memory at once, taking what it needed and leaving no trace for later eyes.

In pasture, 70m E of the townland boundary with Ballynagoul. Ringfort (LI047-063----) lies 195m to E. Not depicted on OSi historic mapping. Possible fulacht fiadh or isolated pit excavated in 1986 by Margaret Gowen on the Bruff-Mallow gas pipeline where the monument was listed as site 1/5/2 (Gowen 1988, 179).
