Excavation is an excavation (miscellaneous) in Cashel, County Tipperary, Ireland. A 2001 excavation to the rear of 29 Main Street revealed a building with mortared stone walls. The potentially stone-walled structure, perhaps post-medieval, was provided at some stage with a cesspit and an associated pit that may have been a tanning pit.

Excavation in 2001 to the rear of 29 Main Street revealed a building (TS061-025041-) with mortared stone walls (Pollack 2003, 380). The building, potentially stone-walled and perhaps post-medieval, was provided at some stage with a cesspit (TS061-025059-) (ibid.) and associated pit, which may have been a tanning pit (Pollock 2001, 6).
