A limited excavation in 1995 at Morton St., Clonmel (Excavation Licence no. 95E029), revealed a post-medieval cess-pit with finds including oyster shells, a small quantity of animal bone, a large quantity of post-medieval pottery and some fragmented clay pipes (Henry 1996, 81).
