ENCLOSURE (rath?) & Man-made underground passage in Carnalbanagh

Under a field in Carnalbanagh, a man-made passage descends into darkness beside an enclosure that may be a rath. The hole bites through soil like a swallowed throat, inviting curiosity or warning depending on the hour. People may have built the passage to hide, worship or simply reach water when drought tightened its fist.
