Woodlands West holds a forgotten ringfort, its shallow basin still visible beside the road. men may have lived there before the trees closed over their fire, and the land may have kept their shape long after they stopped repeating it.
Shown as a circular enclosure on the 1837 OS 6-inch map (max diam. c. 45m). Low rise at end of slight ridge is probably due to the former presence of monument. Probably a ringfort site.
