Enclosure in Treanmanagh

On poorly drained reclaimed grassland, 500m E of the townland boundary with Derk. The rectangular enclosure (LI024-205----) is located 65m NW. The site is not depicted on OSi historic maps. The enclosure is visible as a rectangular earthwork on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12 and on the Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 148 AP 4/3625) as an enclosure (ext. dims. c. 13m NE-SW; 17.5m NW-SE). The enclosure is visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018.
