What is recorded here

Located in an area of rolling average pasture dotted with drumlin-like knolls and hummocks, with good views generally, especially SE–SW. Situated on a low natural rise. Field boundaries shown on the 1922 OS 6-inch map to E and SE were removed during land reclamation to create one large open field. This monument is shown on the 1922 OS 6-inch map as an oval enclosure (diam. c. 20m N–S; c. 25-30m E–W) bisected centrally by an E−W field boundary. A slightly raised oval area (c. 30m E−W; c. 12m N−S) can be discerned, with a poorly defined scarp (Wth slope 3.2m; H 1.4m at SW) visible at SW, but it is not possible to trace the original outline of the enclosure. It is largely engulfed in field clearance debris and overgrowth. A cluster of nearby monuments include: an enclosure (MA015-044002-) and a wedge tomb (MA015-044007-) c. 30m to SW, a rath (MA015-044001-) c. 180m to WSW; two possible barrows (MA015-044005-; MA015-044006-) c. 100 to SW; and a rath (MA015-044004) c. 120m to SE.
