What is recorded here

Situated on level ground on a broad, natural ridge in undulating pastureland. Not indicated on the 1st (1843) or 1952-3 ed. OS 6-inch maps. Visible as a circular cropmark on an aerial photograph taken in 1973 (GSIAP, S 469/470). Not visible at ground level. Another circular cropmark (TN041-071001) of slightly smaller size lies immediately NW of the site. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
