Fifty metres northeast of the empty coordinate, a sub-oval bank and thicket still hold their shape above the pasture. The distinction between a childrens' burial ground, a cairn or mere field clearance remains unresolved, yet the separate boundary marks a deliberate choice to keep that oval apart. People may have placed stones there, tended the edge or simply refused to plough through the shape. The lakes glitter beyond the slope while the enclosed ground waits beneath furze for someone to ask it again.

In improved pasture, on the upper portion of a SW-facing slope; Good views to Killarney lakes. No visible surface trace of a monument at location of co-ordinates provided. Sub-oval area (dims. 18m N-S; 11m E-W) is located 55m to NE and is defined by an earth and stone bank (H c. 1.4m) SW->W->N and enclosed by thicket of vegetation (H c. 1.5m) N->E->SE. Field boundary (long axis NW-SE) defines monument to S. Interior is covered in dense growth of furze. Upon limited investigation within, a number of small piles of stone were noted. This is not fulacht fia material but could feasibly be field clearance, some form of cairn or perhaps a childrens’ burial ground. This oval area is specifically cordoned off from rest of field. Reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as an extant mound/fulacht fia. Although there is no visible surface trace of a fulacht fia at this location, the enclosed feature located c. 55m to NE is likely to have been the intended monument seen upon aerial photography.
