Enclosure

What is recorded here

On a N-facing slope on the upper, fairly gently sloping, S side of a valley, in reclaimed grassland. There are good views across and along the valley to the N, E and W. Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and on the 1900 revision as a square enclosure (dims. c. 30m NE-SW and NW-SE) with rounded corners, similar to a nearby enclosure (KK012-060----) c. 130m to the N. The enclosure has been levelled and is not visible at ground level, however, it is visible as a cropmark on DigitalGlobe satellite imagery (viewed 15 June 2019).
