What is recorded here
In pasture, on a high ridge overlooking a low-lying area to the E. A circular area (dims. 22m N-S; 20m E-W) defined by scarp (Wth 2.4m; H 1.15m) and the remains of fosse (Wth 3.5-8.9m; D 0.15-0.3m) W-NW and also SE-SSW. The scarp (Wth 1.15m; H 0.5m) is less defined from SE-SW. There are gaps (Wth 4m) at the NNE and S respectively, both with a modern, stoned ramp leading into the interior. The interior has a gentle E-facing slope with an uneven surface. A field boundary, running NE-SW, truncates the fosse in the NW sector. Other field boundaries in the vicinity have been removed. Enclosures (TS059-037---- and TS059-038----) are c. 160m to the E and SSW respectively.
