On the south-eastern side of an enclosure (ME019-109) that surrounds the motte on Slane Hill is a smaller enclosure (Diam. 25m) which is defined by a low bank without an accompanying ditch. The line of this enclosure is clearly cut by the larger enclosure surrounding the motte (Seaver & Brady 2012).
