Enclosure in Seeconglas

Enclosure

What is recorded here

According to Begley (1906, 55) 'on the northern slope of a hill called Seeconglass, there is an oval-shaped enclosure ... originally surrounded by a dry wall of cyclopean style of architecture the debris of which are still there, and just inside the entrance the foundation of a small building is visible.' No such enclosure is depicted on any edition of the OS map in this townland so the exact location of this enclosure is not know. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 29 August 2012
