What is recorded here

Situated on a marked W-facing slope. Circular enclosure (diam. 24m) defined by a very degraded earthen bank (Wth 4m; max. H 1m). There is no indication of an entrance, external fosse or internal features other than a later field boundary which crosses the centre of the site (N-S). Two smaller circles abut the enclosure at the E (diam. 9m) and SW (diam. 10m). These are defined by very slight banks. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.
