Situated on an E-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. Three possible enclosures are indicated on aerial photographs taken in 1967 (CUCAP, ATA 42) and 1974 (GSIAP, S 565/4), together with associated earthworks. Not visible at ground level. Area quite overgrown with scrub. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
