Enclosure in Rathlogan

Enclosure

What is recorded here

Half a circle of shadow, a ditch or a forgotten wall, the enclosure in Rathlogan still bends the land around its missing edge. It sits close to a ringfort and a medieval church, as if people lived, worshipped and departed without ever finishing the shape. The incomplete line does not weaken the place; it invites the mind to complete it.
Aerial photograph (GB90.CO.02) shows cropmark of an incomplete curvilinear enclosure (diam. c. 45m) defined by a fosse. A ringfort (KK008-081----) is located c. 170m to the NW and a medieval church (KK008-082001-) and graveyard (KK008-082001-) c. 140m to NNW.
